
Chinese photovoltaic companies support the development of Kazakhstan's green energy industry
CCTV News reported on July 20th that Chinese photovoltaic companies have participated in the construction of multiple photovoltaic power stations in Kazakhstan. Among them, the 20 MW solar power station in Shetpe Village, Mangystau Oblast, Kazakhstan started construction in March 2025 and has completed 80%. It is planned to start generating electricity on September 30th. The total investment of the project is 5.678 billion tenge (approximately 76 million yuan), and it is expected to generate an annual electricity output of 25 million kWh after operation. This can reduce local carbon dioxide emissions by 2500 tons annually, provide employment opportunities, and alleviate the load on the power grid.
